This year, the Scioto Valley Chapter of the Ninety Nines held their Anniversary Banquet on the ground floor of the 94th Aero Squadron Restaurant at Port Columbus, because the second-floor party room was already booked for another party. We all enjoyed the cool evening as we looked out across runway 28L, and watched the sun peek from below a high layer of stratus clouds to set with a warming red glow in the west.
Even more than in past years at this restaurant, we had a wide variety of entree choices, including two sizes of Prime Rib, Farmhouse Chicken or Chicken Dijonaise, Steak and Shrimp Scampi, Fresh Salmon, Crab and Stuffed Flounder, Lobster and Shrimp Linguine, Shrimp and Scallop Penne, Vegetable Stir-Fry, or Penne Pomodoro. As always, all the food was delicious, well-prepared, and nicely served.
