Marilynn Miller asked if anyone would be interested in a day trip to Akron to attend the Aero Expo on June 17, 2005. The trip is being offered through the Hilliard Senior Center. The Aero Expo actually takes place on June 18 & 19 but the 17th is the press preview day. The cost for the event is $64 which includes the bus ride and lunch. Please call Marilynn if interested.
Dana Rogers requested our attendance at Bolton Field
this Saturday, April 16, to welcome the Gilbert A. Cargill Chapter from
Detroit. Up to eight airplanes are expected to fly in around noon.
Unfinished Business:
Schmidt’s Fundraiser: It was decided that we will sign up to work for Schmidt’s at the Quarter Horse Congress which will take place October 3 – 23, 2005.
Summer Picnic: Paula Rumbaugh reported that Candy Eichenberger volunteered to have the summer picnic at her house this year. Candy suggested that we have Schmidt’s cater it. The cost would be $11/person and would include the classic Schmidt’s menu including cream puffs! Everyone agreed that this is a good idea.
