from her kids). It was a lot of fun!

Blizzard ’08.
Constance Copeland and Ray flew to Fort Wayne, Indiana for lunch. Great trip &
good visibility.

Report of Standing Committees:
- Airmarking:
Jo-Ann Prater asked Mark Mulcahey of the Columbus Regional Port Authority if
we could paint a compass rose at Bolton Field. He said there may be a problem
with rebar under the ramp surface so he will look into it and get back to her.
Jo-Ann will also check to see if Madison County Airport needs a compass rose.
- Scholarship:
Myra presented Dawn with her Alice Jackson scholarship.
Carol Countiss would like to offer a scholarship in her husband’s name. The
scholarship would be women to get their private pilot certificate.
Old Business:
- Casa Trip:
Jo-Ann suggested we go to La Casa September 19-21 because it is the same
weekend as the Cimarron Short Grass Music Festival. The festival takes place
at the Cold Beer bar and involves classical music, folk music and cowboy jazz.
The house will cost about $600 for the weekend. Jo-Ann would need to know who
will be going 3-4 weeks in advance.
New Business:
- Scioto Valley Officer Elections:
Ballots will be mailed to each person on the roster. Please return ballots to
Paula Rumbaugh by May 10, 2008. The following women have been nominated:
Chair – Jann Bowne
Vice Chair – Mary Biller
Secretary – Lori Robishaw
Treasurer – Paula Hook
You may write in your own candidates or volunteer for other positions.
New officers will be installed in June at the summer picnic.
- Chapter 30th Anniversary:
Paula Hook suggested we start planning our Chapter’s 30th birthday.
- Fund-Raising opportunity:
Charma learned of a fund-raising opportunity offered by City Barbeque. When we
dine at City Barbeque we will be reimbursed 25% of our food bill. There is a
minimum of 25 people and it can be done once per quarter. Charma will turn in
the application then we can decide on a date to meet for dinner.
Adjournment: Meeting was adjourned.
Respectfully submitted,
Mary Biller, Secretary
