Minutes of the Scioto Valley 99s April 14, 2010 meeting
Up, Up, and Away:
Christine Mortine passed her COMM SEL add on early March and is scheduled for
her CFI check ride by mid-May. She was able to fly a C310 to Fargo, MN in
addition to her training. : )
Meredith Frederick flew friends and family home to Cincinnati for Easter, in
addition to visiting eight other airports across Ohio.
Marjorie Anderson flew commercial to South Carolina for a visit with her
parents.
Jann flew to IL for two different weeks of babysitting. On her return this last
time she stopped at the Carbondale Airport which is a stop on the Air Race
Classic.
Mary flew to Columbiana County Airport - her first “commercial” flight. She
dropped 49 ˝ Kevin and his co-worker off for a business trip. She also had her
first emergency landing. While in the pattern at Bolton in a Super Cub, a
throttle cable problem would not allow a power reduction. The mixture needed to
be pulled out on final so the airplane could land!
