Up, Up, and Away
Terri and Tracy flew to Oshkosh for Airventure. Terri and Mary flew to
Mt. Victory with another T-Craft for lunch.
Joanne Austin and another Mooney instructor flew to CYO for Teresa Freeman's
surprise birthday party for her husband. Joanne and Glenn drove to Oshkosh
for Airventure for a week. WOW!

After Oshkosh I flew back from Dodge Co., Wisconsin, with my husband and
youngest son in our 1977 Piper Warrior. My husband, Michael, was the pilot
and I helped with the navigation. - Teresa Freeman
Mary and Kevin drove to Oshkosh for Airventure. Mary also flew to Muncie, IN and
has done some banner towing training.
Meeting Minutes
The meeting was called to order by Marjorie Anderson.

Minutes of Previous Meeting: The minutes of the July meeting were approved as published in the meeting notice.
Treasurer’s Report: The Treasure's Report stands approved as read.
Report of Standing Committees:
A. Airmarking Committee: The Darby Dan compass rose painting is scheduled for Saturday, August 13, at 8 a.m., weather pending. Jim, Jo-Ann, Connie, Ray, Myra and Marilynn will be there Friday to prepare and get a head start. In the case of rain, it will be rescheduled for October. Be sure to bring plenty of water, sunscreen and a hat for sun protection.
B. Fall 2006 Section Meeting: The Section Meeting Committee is meeting at the Clarion Hotel next Wednesday to have a look at the facility.
C. Membership Committee: Please pay your dues if you have not done so already and remember to pay your international dues. Marilyn Miller needs addresses of the new members of our group.
D. Scrapbook Committee: Please send any photos you may have to Myra.
Announcements:
The 99s Fly for Breast Cancer Cure Kick-off Chili
Event:
A 99s Chili Event to kick off The 99s Fly for Breast Cancer Cure has been
scheduled for October 1 at I40 (Coshocton). During the month of October the
99s will be asked to find sponsors to pledge money for the hours you fly.
Please let Marjorie know if you would like to participate in this event
Air Shows:
Two air shows are scheduled for the weekend of August 20/21 - one at Fairfield
County in Lancaster and one in Bellefontaine. There will be a pancake
breakfast at Bellefontaine and Emerson Stewart from Waynesville and the
Firebirds will be performing. The Mid-Eastern Regional Fly-In (MURFI) is
scheduled for August 26 at the Marion Airport.
Fall North Central Section Meeting:
The fall section meeting will be held in Louisville, KY on November 4-6. We
need people to go and get ideas for our meeting next year.
Meeting in Springfield:
Janie will check with Springfield Airport to see if we can hold our October or
November meeting there.
