Up, Up, and Away

November 11, Veteran’s Day, I was working on my currency in M206 Mooney doing maneuvers and landing. While landing on runway 15 at Springfield I had a flat on landing. No structural damage but the left main was flat. We towed the plane, changed the tire and now we are doing other maintenance. Just about ready to get back in the air! – Joanne Austin

Jann & George used her new instrument rating to file IFR and take off into the clouds on their last trip to visit their son in IL. We flew on top until the clouds broke up over Indiana. – Jann Bowne

Meeting Minutes

The meeting was called to order by Jann Bowne in Myra Jamison's absence.

Minutes of Previous Meeting: The minutes from the November meeting stand approved as published in the newsletter.

Treasurer’s Report:  Report read by Charma Huddy.

• Owe money to Abby Rice for coin holders.
•  Arnett Howard to donate to our chapter.
•  We donated $300 to the Women’s Museum and $100 to the Mars Institute.
•  Will return $350 to Section because we didn’t need it for our Section Meeting.

• We signed thank you cards for the FAA for their presentation and for Ron Miller for his donation of artwork.
•  Paula distributed extra FAA pamphlets and scarves.

• Lori would like us to consider participating in the Do-Dah Parade on July 4. She shared pictures of her Pasadena Chapter dressed in homebuilt airplanes. Something fun for us to consider!
• Lori also suggested donating money to the AE museum to get our name on the wall.
