asked if anyone else planned to attend; if so, please let her know.
Announcements:
- The Alice Jackson Scholarship applications are due January 15. Each
year the Scioto Valley Ninety-Nines awards a scholarship to honor the memory
of Alice Jackson, a balloon pilot and member of the chapter. This scholarship
is awarded to an Ohio woman who is interested in aviation to help her fund the
training necessary for a balloon or airplane rating or license. If you know of
any woman who would be interested and hasn’t applied yet, please let them know
ASAP! Contact Paula Rumbaugh (prumbaug@columbus.rr.com) for more information.
- The Chad Countiss Scholarship. In 2009 our Chapter will award a
scholarship to honor the memory of Chad Countiss, the late husband of chapter
member Carol Countiss. This scholarship will be awarded to an Ohio woman who
is interested in aviation to help her fund the training necessary for
obtaining her private pilot license. Again, contact Paula Rumbaugh for more
information. The deadline for this scholarship is also January 15 so please
pass the word around (if you haven’t already)!
Adjournment: The meeting was adjourned.
Respectfully submitted,
Lori Robishaw, Secretary
