Minutes of the Scioto Valley 99s February 12, 2003 meeting
Up, Up, and Away
Jim Prater and his daughter Amy Talbott leaped out of an airplane in tandem, accompanied by an instructor. A cold, shining, cloudless November day was a perfect introduction to parachuting.
Mary Biller ground crewed for banner tow pilots for the Fiesta Bowl celebration at Ohio Stadium. “I set up the banners and billboards, hooked the airplanes and picked up the banners and equipment after the tows. Weather at the bottom of the field: 17 degrees with 25 kt. wind. (I need to get a waiver to tow banners so that I can be inside the airplane rather than on the ground!)”
Jo-Ann and Jim Prater will fly American Airlines to Japan on March 17th for a 3 week stay with their daughter Emily.
