One June 13th, our group was treated to a first-class tour of Executive Jet Aviation. Mr. Bishop presented an overview of the company and Beth Ann Goettler gave an outstanding tour of the facilities. After the tour she presented each of us with an Executive Jet Visor and an assortment of pastries and drinks. It was fun to get to sit in a Citation X. Present were-------.
We welcomed Colleen Sanders and her father Dave. She is as instructor at Don Scott and a receptionist at Ray Copeland's dentist.
The meeting was called to order by Marilynn Miller. The minutes of the last meeting
were approved..
Proposed changes to the international by-laws were read by Marilynn and discussed.
Janie displayed a light denim shirt for approval to embroider emblems or logos on for sale at the fall sectional. Suggestions included a compass rose above the pocket, lettering International 99's, etc. with possibly block 99 on the front tail. Members are encouraged to come up with suggestions. We need to know how many to buy, if the shirt is O.K., what sizes, lettering style, and what color of embroidery. The discussion was tabled until the June meeting to make final decisions.
Up, Up, and Away
Connie and Ray Copeland flew to Wichita, Ks. for the River Festival. While there Connie witnessed the uncrating of a 1929 Cessna AW, which had been crated and stored for 25 years. The Cessna engineers hope to restore it for the 75th Cessna Anniversary. The Copelands arrived home May 22nd with one day delay due to storms and took off for Bemidji, MN on May 25th with 2 granddaughters to meet Son Matt and family for some fishing at Leech lake, sightseeing and some property business. (Connie and grandkids waded across the Mississippi River).
