Up, Up, and Away

Constance & Ray Copeland flew to Walker, Minnesota for the Memorial weekend. Weather was forecast to be cold and rainy, so twas 70° - 80° and rain at night. More fun.

Jann & George Bowne flew Memorial Day weekend to Cahokia, IL (St. Louis Downtown Airport) to visit their son and daughter-in-law and attend the baby shower (their first grandchild – due July 23).

Meeting Minutes

The meeting was called to order by Jann Bowne.

Attendance: Marilynn Miller, Gail L. Dean, Paula Rumbaugh, Jo-Ann Prater, Lori Robishaw, Marjorie Anderson, Paula Hook, Janie McIntire, Teresa Freeman, Nancy Allard, Janet Barnard, Constance Copeland, Jann Bowne, Mary Biller.

Minutes of Previous Meeting: The minutes from the April meeting stand approved as published in the newsletter.

Treasurer’s Report:  Report read by Jann Bowne.

Report of Standing Committees: 

• Airmarking:
  •  Marysville Airport tentative scheduled for October 27-28, 2007.
• Membership
  •  Marilynn introduced Gail Dean who has signed up for her first flying lesson.
  •  Nancy Allard from Pickaway County has received her Private Pilot’s license.

Old Business:  

•   Please remember to write your congress person regarding airport funding
•   Picnic at Jann’s next month. Jann will supply BBQ chicken. Please bring new student friends.
•   Gathering of Mustangs & Legends Event – Janie talked to someone about us volunteering as a group. She is waiting to hear back regarding opportunities for us.

New Business:

•   Need to revise Chapter directory but not everyone has paid their chapter dues. Charma may need to email reminders to those who have not paid.
