Minutes of the Scioto Valley 99s March 12, 2003 meeting
The meeting was called to order by Betty Obara, Chairman. The minutes for the February meeting were accepted by motion of Terri Vrbancic and seconded by Joanne Austin.
Old Business
· ARC Update: The FAA has approved a flyover at Dayton Wright Brothers Airport for the Women’s Air Race Classic.
· Certificate of Deposit: Our 12 month CD at 3% has reached maturity. A motion for Myra Jamison to survey various institutions and to obtain the best rate possible was moved by Connie Copeland and seconded by Marjorie Anderson. Approved.
New Business
· Paula suggested that we rent a house on the Outer Banks, NC in December in order to observe the 100 plane fly-by to celebrate 100 years of flight. The plan is to obtain an ocean front 8 bedroom home for $2000/week. Those who are interested are to contact Paula ASAP. The dates would be Dec. 13 – 20, 2003.
The meeting was adjourned and wonderful anniversary treats were enjoyed.
