Posters will be placed at area airports.

     •  Marilynn has agreed to contact Bolton Field to reserve the terminal building for our class.

Announcements:

  1. JoAnn Prater read a note addressed to the Scioto Valley chapter regarding the funds donated, in lieu of a Christmas exchange, to the International Health Service for their work in Honduras. The thank-you note explained that the service was unable to use airplanes for transport this year, so our donation needs to be put to some use other than for airplane fuel. JoAnn suggested that she needed to transport medical supplies from Columbus to Minneapolis, and the funds might be used to defray these shipping costs. All members agreed. JoAnn also asked for donations of sheets and pillow cases.

  2. A reminder to all members that membership dues ($12.00) are now due for the year. This is for membership in the Scioto Valley Chapter only; International dues are handled by the International membership committee.

  3. Marjorie Anderson announced that Mary Biller’s application for an AE Scholarship passed the NCS scrutiny and has moved on to the International committee.

  4. Paula Rumbaugh, a member of the NCS Nominating Committee, asked for members to run for Section offices. Marilynn Miller and JoAnn Prater said they will run for the Nominating Committee.

Unfinished Business:  Kay Hoelting reminded members that she needed to resign as Treasurer, since she will soon be leaving Ohio. Paula will contact Charma Huddy.

New Business:

  1. JoAnn put forward a suggestion that we move our celebration dinner next year to Thursday night, so we can take advantage of the big band that plays every Thursday night at the 94th Aero Squadron. The suggestion was approved by all present. JoAnn then agreed to host the March 2006 event again.

  2. Marilynn Miller said she had the schedule for all Schmidt’s Sausage Haus events for 2005. Constance Copeland will scan the schedule and send to Paula, who will send the schedule to all members as quickly as possible, so they can begin planning for when they want to work for Scioto Valley dollars.

Adjournment:  Meeting Adjourned.

Respectfully submitted,
Paula Rumbaugh, for Mary Biller, Secretary
