Meeting Minutes

The meeting was abbreviated in favor of the Anniversary Dinner.

Announcements:

• Betty Huck from the All Ohio 99s is collecting items that can be used as gifts for the hospitality room at the International Conference in Chicago. If you have an item you would like to donate, please give it to Paula Hook to take to the Milwaukee Section Meeting later this month.
• The Right Seat Companion course is scheduled for Saturday, October 3. Paula Rumbaugh and Amy Yersavich are working with Dick Wetherald of EAA Chapter 9 to come up with the location and cost of the course. We need to find people interested in signing up for the course.
• Amy is collecting items for the scrapbook. Please give her any pictures or items you would like added.
• Paula Hook is redoing the Treasurer’s Report.  Please let Paula know if you are still planning to donate to IHS.
• Reminder that dues are due this month.
• Denim shirts and vests are on sale. Paula H. will try to sell them along with our mugs and aprons at the Fly Market in Milwaukee later this month.
• If anyone is interested in attending the 75th Anniversary luncheon celebration of the Chicago Chapter, please contact Jann Bowne for more information.
• Scholarships
  • The Countiss Scholarship was awarded to Fleda Anderson and Dawn Velasco
  • The Alice Jackson Scholarship was awarded to Meredith Frederick. She is an Ohio State student studying Aviation Engineering and her goal is to work for the NTSB.
• Jo-Ann Prater distributed gifts of coffee from the Honduras in appreciation for our donations to the IHS. If you would be interested in going along with Jo-Ann and Jim in the future let them know.
