Meeting Minutes

The meeting was called to order by Jann Bowne. A short meeting took place after the chapter’s anniversary dinner at the 94th Aero Squadron.

Attendance: Marjorie Anderson, Connie Copeland, Paula Hook, Amy Yersavich, Christine Mortine, Meredith Frederick, Jann Bowne, Jo-Ann Prater, Joanne Austin, Mary Biller, Myra Jamison, and Lori Robishaw.

Minutes of Previous Meeting: The minutes of the January meeting were approved as distributed; the February meeting was cancelled due to weather.

Treasurer’s Report:   Christine Mortine moved that dues be raised from $12 to $15, as noted in the March newsletter. Paula Hook seconded the motion, and the chapter voted to approve. Dues can be mailed to Paula Hook at 5792 Shannon Place Lane, Dublin, OH 43016. Checks should be made payable to the Scioto Valley 99s..

Report of Standing Committees: 

• Airmarking:
  •  Jo-Ann Prater reported that we’d been asked to redo the compass rose at the Greene County Airport and will be looking into the scheduling of it. Joanne Austin volunteered to host a meeting/gathering after the painting.
• Scholarship:
  • Certificates for The Alice Jackson Scholarship were awarded to Meredith Frederick and Christine Mortine.
• Right Seat Companion:
  •  No report.
• Membership:
  •  No report.

• No new business.

Announcements:

• Members were reminded to cast their ballots for North Central Section officers and board members, as well as International officers and board members.
• Jann, Christine, and Meredith will fly the Air Race Classic from Ft. Myers, FL, to Frederick, MD, June 22-25―Go Team!
