Minutes of the Scioto Valley 99s October 14, 2009 meeting
Up, Up, and Away:
Amy Yersavich did a bit of touch and go practice in September (though she says
it didn’t seem to help her landings much – ugh!). On Columbus Day she flew to
see her dad and took him to lunch.
Charma and John Huddy flew to England in August. They spent a delightful ten
days touring England and Wales with 30 other British car enthusiasts from Ohio.
Connie and Ray Copeland flew to Minnesota in September to harvest the “potato”
crop. Great flights – poor crop. They also roamed the northern part of the state
to look for fall colors with their neighbors and their friend from Romania
October 11; they even slipped over the Canadian line on Lake Erie.
Dawn Valasco flew her first solo cross-country from DLZ to Neil Armstrong on
Monday, October 12.
