Meeting Minutes

The meeting was called to order by Myra Jamison.

Attendance: Jann Bowne, Constance Copeland, Janie McIntire, Marilynn Miller, Paula Hook, Lori Robishaw, Myra Jamison, Jo-Ann Prater, Marjorie Anderson, Dana Rogers, Charma Huddy, Bonnie Miller, Mary Biller.

Minutes of Previous Meeting: Janie McIntire moved to approve the minutes, Marilynn Miller seconded. The minutes stand as published in the newsletter.

Treasurer’s Report:  Myra reported we have a CD in Guernsey Bank that will be coming due soon – she will check on it.

Report of Standing Committees:

Fall 2006 Section Meeting: 

• Registration:
  ▪ 58 registrants Including guests and Dr. Lee.
  ▪ Seven people are flying into Bolton Field.
  ▪ Registration will take place at hotel only, not at Bolton as previously suggested..
• Goody Bags:
  ▪ Things to do:
     1) Match bag to State
     2) Put coins in holders.
     3) Stuff bags at Myra’s house on Sunday, September 24 at 1:30.
  ▪ Other additions:
     1) Paula - Worthington Square shopping brochure
     2) Columbus Guide
     3) Marilynn has two posters, one for each bag.
     4) Jann – booklet from Polaris
• Meals:
  ▪ Friday night
     o BBQ Pork, shredded chicken, hors d’oeuvres table
  ▪ Saturday Banquet
     o Vegetable Lasagna
     o Grilled Chicken with Mushroom Sauce
  ▪ Sunday breakfast
     o Bagels, granola bars, yogurt, juice.
• Sales Tables: Three groups (four tables)
• Hospitality Room:
  ▪ Marjorie moved to have the hospitality room open from 12 – 4, not 10 – 11; Jann seconded. All in favor. Motion approved.
  ▪ Connie needs help with hospitality room.
  ▪ Jo-Ann Prater will bring cooler for ice at hotel.
  ▪ We have 100 boxes of Buckeyes. The boxes are for favors at the banquet – extras will be sold with the proceeds going back to the chapter.
• Raffle:
  ▪ Lori Robishaw suggested donating proceeds to the Museum of Women Pilots.
  ▪ A poster will appear next to each item to acknowledge people for their donations.
  ▪ Lori will purchase tickets and a tub to put them in.
  ▪ Tickets will be $1/ticket or 6/$5.
• Gift Basket: Edible bouquets?
• International Rep: Marjorie offered to pick her up from the airport.
• Transportation:
  ▪ Needs can be determined at registration.
  ▪ We will have signs for transporters to display in their cars.

New Business:  Myra sent in change of officer but has not heard back – she will follow up.

Adjournment:  Marilynn made motion to adjourn, Jo-Ann Prater seconded. Meeting adjourned.
