Alice Jackson Memorial Scholarship

Each year, the Scioto Valley Chapter of the Ninety Nines awards at least one partial scholarship  to help defray some of the flight training costs for a deserving Ohio woman.

This scholarship assistance can be applied toward a primary or an advanced rating, in balloons, gliders, or airplanes. The detailed benefits and requirements are outlined in a printable scholarship document referenced below.

Applications are not yet being accepted for our 2011 Scholarship Award.
The 2011 Scholarship will be announced sometime in the 4th quarter of 2010.
For planning purposes, expect the 2011 scholarship-award rules to be generally similar to the 2010 rules as outlined in the documents listed below.

The two documents referenced below are in PDF (Portable Document Format), and you may print copies of them if you wish. For the best rendition of the Scholarship poster on your color printer, we recommend you select the page-scaling option: "Fit to Printable Area" (or similar option) on your printer setup page before sending the poster to your printer.

After viewing either of the PDF documents below, use your browser's back button to return here.

The margin settings on the Scholarship document should be satisfactory for most printers using letter-size paper when the page-scaling option is set to "None" on your printer setup page. If your printer cuts off some of the text, you may need to temporarily change the scaling to "Fit to Printable Area" as mentioned for the poster immediately above.

Both of the documents mentioned above will be updated when the application period for next year's scholarship award is announced.
